Counseling Services
Jami offers individual, couples, and family therapy for clients in San Diego and throughout California (both in person and via telehealth). Jami works with a diverse population of adults, adolescents, couples, and families.
Individual Therapy
After learning about her client's history, current challenges, and goals, Jami works one-on-one with her individual clients utilizing a tailored treatment plan to address the issues that brought the client to therapy while supporting her clients as they "unpack" issues that arise during sessions.
Jami's practice incorporates a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR for trauma. Jami treats clients experiencing depression, anxiety and stress, grief/loss, life transitions, maternal mental health and trauma. Jami has specialized training in maternal mental health, trauma, couples, and mood disorders.
Couples Counseling
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Jami enjoys working with couples (married and unmarried) of all ages and backgrounds.
After gaining an understanding of each partner's unique perspective, Jami guides and supports the couple in working through the challenges which brought them to therapy. These may include conflicts in the relationship, parenting issues, infidelity and trust, addiction, and boundary issues.
Jami assists her clients in learning effective tools for communication, resolving conflict in healthy and respectful ways, and in better understanding each person's wants, needs and goals.
Family Therapy
Jami works closely with families who can benefit from having a supportive and neutral therapist to assist them in navigating various challenges, conflicts and/or life transitions. Family members can include parents, children, grandparents, stepparents, siblings, etc.
Jami guides families on what they can do individually, and as a collective, to create more harmonious and healthy family relationships.
