About Jami

Jami received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Stanford University, where she studied Psychology, American Studies, and Sociology.  After a successful career as a business and marketing professional, Jami decided to pursue her life's passion to connect with and support others, by becoming a therapist.

 

Jami obtained a second Master's Degree from the University of San Diego in Marriage and Family Therapy, ultimatley becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA License No. 133031).​  Prior to starting her own practice, Jami trained at University of California, San Diego's Women's Reproductive Mental Health Care Center; Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital's Intensive Outpatient programs; and in private practice. 

 

Jami's therapy practice focuses on adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety and stress, trauma, grief and loss, and mood disorders.  Jami also works with women experiencing issues with perinatal mental health, including pregnancy-related anxiety and depression, infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and adjustment to parenthood.  Jami is trained to use EMDR to help her clients overcome traumatic life experiences.  Jami also works extensively with couples (married and unmarried) as well as with families.
